We build and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This statement explains what that covers and how to tell us when something falls short.
The site is built so you can use it with a keyboard, a screen reader or magnification.
These are the practices we check on every page before it goes live.
| Keyboard navigation | Every link, button, form field and question on the site can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, in a logical order. |
| Visible focus | Whatever has keyboard focus is outlined clearly, so you can always see where you are on the page. |
| Skip link | The first thing you reach with the Tab key is a link that jumps straight past the navigation to the main content. |
| Reduced motion | If your device is set to reduce motion, the site turns off its animations and transitions. |
| Text contrast | Body text and controls are set in colours chosen to meet the AA contrast ratios on both our light and dark backgrounds. |
| Alt text | Photographs, product screens and diagrams carry text descriptions, and purely decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers. |
